That’s right, ticket sales for 2023 Women’s World Cup in New Zealand & Australia have been announced!

The tournament draw occurred on 22 October.

Current/Upcoming Ticket Sales Phase

What a great tournament! Congrats to Spain!

Can you believe it, we bought tickets to the FINAL match for only $25 USD each!

How to Apply

Regular Tickets

Step 1 – You’ll need a FIFA account, if you do not have one!

Below, in Step 2, follow the link to start the buying process. Once you proceed to your appropriate section, you’ll be presented a login screen.

On this screen, you can “Register by Email” – or reset your password if you have no idea what your info is.

This is really a heads up that you’ll need an account to proceed.

Step 2 – Submit an Application

Visit this link to directly access 2023 applications.

Once you’re on the site, you will need to select if you’re:

  • Australian Citizen
  • New Zealand Citizen
  • International (i.e. not one of those above)

We mention this b/c if you go to the site on your phone, it isn’t obvious!

(If it is your first time, the user experience at FIFA can be quite poor).

FIFA Ticketing Options by Residency

Hospitality Tickets

You can also go around the lines and for a premium, purchase a hospitality package directly.

There’s only one official vendor, MATCH Hospitality, but they subcontract out to regional experts. Let us know if you have questions about this or if you want help getting in touch.

How much does a regular ticket cost?

Check the screenshot below for the pricing matrix from FIFA’s site.

What Are Category 1, Category 2 and Category 3?

  • Category 1 = middle of the field seats
  • Category 2 = corners of the field seats
  • Category 3 = behind the goal seats

It varies slightly per stadium but the image below of Stadium Australia illustrates this well.

Note: Category is NOT how close you are, only where your viewpoint is! You do NOT get your seat assignment until it is randomly assigned closer to the start date.

What Are the Ticket Packages?

    • includes all matches at a specific stadium.
  2. Stadium Flexi Pass

Will there be a VISA Presale

A Visa presale does NOT seem to be in play during this phase.

Will there be a Random Lottery?

At the moment, NO, it does not look like there’s a random lottery and all Sales Phases are first come, first serve.

Will there be a Resale Portal?

Previously, FIFA saying if they do have one for 2023, it will happen no later than May 2023.

Well, it appears the RESALE portal is now live. See below for where you can find access within the portal once you sign in.

We have seen tickets to the finals listed on here already.

What’s Next?

Will a Fan ID be used for 2023 Australia & New Zealand?

As we mentioned above, it does not seem like one is required for the Women’s tournaments yet.

If one is not used, you’ll want to do your own research on visas & passports for Australia and New Zealand as that may be your only travel documents needed.
